Meet Lauren
Founder & Independent Educational Consultant
Lauren Napolitano-Bowling, M.S.Ed., is an educator and independent educational consultant with nearly two decades of experience serving students and families across public, private, and charter school settings. Her professional background includes classroom instruction, literacy and academic intervention, curriculum development, inclusive education, gifted education, and individualized student support. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams in both New York City and the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Lauren earned undergraduate degrees in English, International Relations, and History, as well as a Master of Science in Education, from St. John’s University. Early in her career, she participated in educational and humanitarian initiatives abroad and contributed to nonprofit efforts affiliated with the United Nations. Her work focused on expanding educational access and opportunity for historically underserved communities and helped shape her lasting commitment to educational equity.
In addition to her work in traditional school settings, Lauren spent many years providing private tutoring and individualized educational support to students with diverse strengths, needs, and learning profiles. These experiences strengthened her expertise in personalized instruction, educational planning, and the thoughtful interpretation of academic data. She has collaborated with families, educators, evaluators, and related-service professionals to identify appropriate supports and develop purposeful paths toward meaningful academic progress.
Lauren’s professional interests include literacy development, dyslexia-informed support, educational evaluations, learning differences, and the effective navigation of school-based services. She has completed advanced training in structured literacy and Orton-Gillingham–based instruction and values educational practices grounded in evidence, precision, and a thoughtful understanding of each learner.
As the founder of Haven Educational Consulting, Lauren partners with families to provide informed guidance, individualized planning, and strategic support. Drawing upon both professional expertise and personal experience, she understands how complex it can be to navigate school systems, evaluations, eligibility determinations, and educational decisions. Her approach is analytical and compassionate, translating complex information into clear, actionable guidance so families can make informed decisions and participate confidently in their children’s education.
Lauren lives in Forsyth County with her husband and four children. Her perspective as both an educator and a mother gives her a personal understanding of the academic, emotional, and practical considerations that shape a child’s educational experience. Her children’s distinct learning journeys continue to deepen her insight and strengthen her commitment to helping families pursue educational environments in which their children can thrive.
